Cool for the Summer // Pt.1

If it weren’t for pool parties, frozen rose, sun kissed tan, and of course, vacations, I would prefer for Spring to jump straight into Fall. If your level of exaggeration is like mine and you’re already suffering heat strokes at the minimum rise of temperature then you know what I mean. So when layering your body with fabrics seems like an impossible task and staying in the AC (me) sounds like a better alternative, it’s time to reconsider on how we are approaching the heat without having to resource to shorts and tanks.

Monotone outfits will and always be a go to trend in my book, especially when it comes to light weight chambray. I’m wearing a high waist, wide leg pants with a lighter tone chambray self-tie Oh My Love Crop. Flirty with retro echoes are defining this season. Accessories are my color pops, our Carrie Retro Sunnies and Kiki Embroidered Clutch works perfectly with this little ensemble.

It is no secret Marfa has a special place in our hearts. Truly our favorite place to disconnect, gather all the creative juices possible and sometimes when just going with the flow, magical things happen. We are not the only ones escaping to the desert. This time, we partnered with one of the creative minds behind local bloggers Twenty Something SA, Alyssa Walker and amazing photographer Jessica Giesey to take us with them during their yoga retreat hosted by Mobile Om. And I mentioned...magic. Follow link here to see more

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

When in doubt, there's no doubt I'll pick print mixing when it comes to putting together an outfit. Especially if its gingham, the print of the season ---or in my case; the year. Completely obsessed with it. Playing with new arrival to the website; the Check Please Skirt. This fitted miniskirt with asymmetrical ruffle is one everyone should own, on trend and statement making at the same time. I paired it with the equally crazed trend, statement top in yes, micro gingham print.

Check Please Skirt: $39

As I share this post with you guys --which I'm so humbled to have to you here reading. I'm sitting at Rise Up, an Acai Cafe with the kid...the best smoothie bowls in town. Chowing down their Jade Acai Bowl, substituted apple juice for almond milk and added their chocolate vegan protein. For all you health nuts, If you're in the area, it's a MUST TRY! Happy Friday!
